UX Gatherings is a diverse community of passionate people who come together each month to share their skills and learn how to make a difference through user experience.
I designed a positive and welcoming brand and website to encourage industry practitioners and UX enthusiasts alike to attend events and build the community.
UX Gatherings' focus is bringing the Melbourne UX community together to look at their work from different perspectives.
I designed an illustrative logo with an inviting and bold character. The unusual colour palette—Deep Violet, Mint and Malibu Blue—means UX Gatherings stands apart from the many other fantastic UX events in Melbourne.
I designed the website as a flexible platform while maintaining the open and welcoming character of the brand. The website is phone-friendly and links up with social media and email providers oh-so-seamlessly.
Business card design
Online businesses can be easily started with nothing more than a laptop and internet connection. In other words, a great website doesn't mean instant credibility.
When you meet someone new, show them you invest in your ideas by giving them a tangible representation of your work. Business cards help you quickly build trust for your business and ideas.
The UX Gatherings business cards were produced locally in Melbourne, Australia by the team at Print Together.

Email Newsletter design
Email lists are crucial for building long-lasting communities. When someone secures a ticket to attend an event, their name and email address is automatically added to the UX Gatherings mailing list.
Instead of forcing past attendees to remember to check the website for events, they receive an email when tickets are available to the next event.
MailChimp is the preferred email service provider for UX Gatherings. I designed a bold and bright email template to send event updates to the UX Gatherings community each month.
For seamless ticketing and email newsletter integration, UX Gatherings use Eventbrite.
event id card design
ID cards help the UX Gatherings community identify team members at each event.
social media design
UX Gatherings uses Twitter to announce events and live tweet the talks from industry speakers. Follow along @UXGatherings.
